We hope your summer is off to a great start! From the end of the semester until now, ReUSE has collected 588 lbs. of clothes, office supplies, and other small items. This includes Move-Out donation collection as well as donations that have been dropped off at the store. Overall, CalZero Waste was able to divert 4,568 lbs. of clothing and other items from ending up in the landfills. What a HUGE impact we were able to help make! Thanks so much for all of your hard work that made this possible.
The store has been recently cleaned up and is ready to open for the summer! We realize that schedules have been changing and it may have been hard during the semester to predict when you would be available in the summer. For now, it tentatively looks like we will be opening the store on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Especially if this doesn’t work for you, please fill out the form so we can best accommodate our summer volunteers. If you’re in the area and able to volunteer, we would love to have your help!
For now, we have placed a donation bin outside the ReUSE store. Anyone can stop by and drop off items to donate here, even if the store is closed. As many people are moving apartments right now, it’s a popular time for donations. If you have any friends who are looking for a place to donate their clothes or other small items, let them know!
